Who is the first person I reach out to when I have a question about the Atlanta Public School system? Michelle Olympiadis! She has dedicated herself to not only understanding how APS works, but more importantly, she has focused on improving our public school system since her first child began at Morningside Elementary in 2007. Unlike most parents I’ve worked with at school, she has always focused on the entire student body not just her children’s needs. If her children’s school is purchasing technology, she has figured out ways to bring technology to the entire cluster of schools. This idea not only applies to technology, but to curriculum, budgeting, supplies, fundraising and more. I can not think of a better person to sit on the Atlanta Board of Education than Michelle. It is clear to me that education is her passion. Atlanta needs people passionate, knowledgeable, unbiased and focused to serve on the Atlanta Public Schools council.
